Hoarding the World

They divide us with the culture war, pulling our attention toward symbols and slogans while the foundation beneath us crumbles. We argue over identities and language, while the weight of inequality presses heavier on our backs. They distract us from the deeper issues like economic justice, because all justice is economic—who eats, who has shelter, who can breathe without debt tightening around their lungs. Power thrives in our division, feeding on our exhaustion as we fight battles designed to keep us from noticing the chains. The struggle is not just in headlines or on screens but in the quiet despair of those working endless hours for scraps. If we saw clearly, if we turned together toward the source of our suffering, the walls they build between us would shake. But they know the game well, and so they keep us fighting ghosts while they hoard the world.
